Check-in Agents are the first point of contact for customers and play an important role in customer service and operations.
Reports to: Supervisor & Terminal Manager
Basic Functions & Responsibilities
- Greet and assist passengers before departure and ensure the boarding process runs smoothly.
- Assist customers by providing information about services, schedules, fares, and policies.
- Verify passports and travel documentation for international passengers.
- Make, modify, or cancel reservations and process customer payments by cash, credit, or debit card.
- Issue boarding passes according to customer requirements.
- Communicate to passengers any information, procedures of boarding and announcements in the Terminal.
- Assist passengers with disabilities in the boarding process.
- Provide general customer assistance and resolve passenger inquiries in a professional manner.
- Ensure compliance with maritime and port security regulations.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Computer proficiency and ability to learn reservation systems.
- Ability to work well with colleagues and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain professional and organized in a fast-paced environment.
Compensation: $15.00 per hour
